YOGA CLASSES
» Flow (Vinyasa)
"Flow" is a mixed level class, intended for beginners and experienced students. This class focuses on connecting breath to postures, guiding students safely through poses that are designed to stretch and strengthen the entire body, while relaxing and focusing the mind. Each class is unique and creatively sequenced by each instructor. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace, using modifications or resting poses as needed.
» Slow Flow
“Slow Flow” is a mixed level class intended to slow down the faster paced style of vinyasa. By taking more time in each pose, students can build strength and gain flexibility while still flowing between postures. This can bring a feeling of confidence in poses as there is more time to consider alignment and engagement while finding stability and control in your practice.
» Yin
This 60 minute Yin class is for all levels and abilities. A Yin Yoga class is cool, quiet and meditative and is designed to open blocked energy channels and increase the flow of life force (chi) in the body. Poses are held for 2-7 minutes and props may be used for added comfort, available in the studio for all to use. By holding these specifically designed Yin poses, we can build strength and flexibility in our connective tissues--which help to prevent injuries and tightness in our joints, tendons, ligaments and fascia. This class is a must-do for both active people and those who enjoy a quiet, calming class. Yoga students will quickly learn the benefits of incorporating this style of yoga into their regular practice! No experience necessary!
» Yin & Flow
A combination of Yin and Flow Yoga practice. Beginning the class with flows which warm up our bodies and stimulate our mind before settling into more passive postures. This practice will increasing flexibility, improving balance and releasing stress. Yin poses stretch the connective tissue surrounding the joints – easing joint mobility as well as deeply stretching the muscles. This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners and will be held in a warm room to aid in deeper stretching in Yin poses. Yin poses may be held 3-5 minutes.
» Beginners Yoga
In this class you'll learn the fundamentals of a yoga flow that will allow you to plant the seeds of a yoga practice, start to grow in your own personal practice, and flourish in other classes. Never tried yoga? Tried a couple classes but still aren't sure if yoga is your thing? Are you a seasoned yogi who wants to become more mindful in traditional poses? During each class, we'll practice poses that you're likely to see in other classes, but can become more advanced at your own pace. You'll learn to be more mindful of your breath, linking it to each movement, and become more mindful of your overall being and state of mind. (Prenatal Friendly)
» Gentle Yoga
Appropriate for prenatal, beginners and long-time practitioners alike, the pace of this class allows the space for cultivating awareness of the physical body, as well as the subtle (energetic) body. The gentle movements encourage improved balance, flexibility and strength while restorative postures and pranayama (breath work) support relaxation and release. Principles of safe body alignment are highlighted throughout the class; however, there is an emphasis on finding your best alignment in the postures using a self-inquiry approach. (Prenatal Friendly)
» Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga- 60 minute class utilizing a chair for support. This class challenges the body and mind through strengthening, stretching, relaxing and breathing. Flexibility, and muscle tone will continually improve as your mind, body and spirit work together in harmony. This class is for those who have issues getting up and down from the floor and prefer a chair for their main seat. This class may also be appealing to a beginner in yoga to ease into the practice. » Pre/Postnatal Yoga
"Pre & Postnatal Yoga" is intended for all trimesters. Come to this class to meet other mommas, take time for yourself, connect to your growing baby and strengthen your body and mind for labor and beyond. Sequencing will be for multiple levels of comfort and fitness. Bolsters are available for comfort through sequencing and Savasana. Beginners and partners welcome! Please get your doctor's approval before attending.
» Hot Classic / 80's Hot Classic
Created by Yoga Legacy, this class incorporates a set series of 27 classical poses preformed in a specific sequence. Unlike "Flow" style classes, "Hot Classic" is a stationary yoga class, most resembling Bikram and Ashtanga sequences. Each pose is held for 5 breaths. Students will work towards perfecting their practice, as the sequence will not change. This class is designed to challenge, create focus, and endurance. Temperatures may start at 90 and rise upwards towards 100. 80's Hot Classic features bodacious playlists. Suitable for all levels.
» Warm Core
Core Flow is a playful blend of Yoga and Pilates movements to build core strength, endurance and flexibility. Great for beginners as well as more experienced athletes looking to supplement their current workouts and/or practices.
» Core Fusion Mat Pilates
In this Pilates style class, we'll focus on strengthening the abdominals, hips, back and thighs, while improving overall flexibility throughout the body. Expect to leave class feeling stronger, more flexible and energized for the rest of your day. All levels are welcome!
» Restore & Re-energize
R&R is designed to help you start your busy week off with a little restfulness, rejuvenation, and mindfulness.
Appropriate for both brand-new and experienced yogis, this 45-minute class begins with a short mediation that progresses into light stretching and mindful breathing as we flow in and out of poses (also known as asanas).
Newcomers to the practice will discover that meditation supports healthy and balanced living by reducing stress and anxiety, increasing clarity of mind, and improving physical well-being. You’ll leave feeling clear-headed, re-energized, and ready to take on the week ahead!
