Colleen is a Raeford native; she and her husband have operated several businesses throughout Hoke County while proudly raising a blended family with six children. She and her husband are avid skydiving enthusiasts, having both served as U.S. Army paratroopers. You may be familiar with their wind tunnel and skydiving businesses in Raeford.
Colleen’s love of anatomy and physiology led her to Pilates in 2007. Six months later, she was certified in Mat Pilates and soon after completed the two year equipment course at the Physical Mind Institute in NY. Colleen’s love for teaching stems from her interest in kinesthetic functionality. She is a firm believer in the restorative power of physical and mental synergy.
Her Yoga Journey started in 2011, a year in which she attended a whopping total of 3 classes—at her daughters’ urging. Creating time and finding energy to pursue her passion was especially challenging given the demands of a growing business and large family. Ultimately, she was able to strike the right balance and persevere through those challenges—patience is her virtue!
From her Pilates background, Colleen brings keen awareness to her Vinyasa Flow classes. Sharing her knowledge and experience, coupled with Yoga movements, has provided freedom to her own practice, from physical tightness to emotional stress release.
Colleen loves sharing yoga with others so that they may have the tools needed to sustain themselves on their journey in life!
