Erin's passion for yoga began over 10 years ago while taking classes as an undergrad in art school. As she traveled for her husband's military career, yoga always followed, her practice evolving with her life. Prenatal yoga fueled Erin's desire to share her love of yoga with those skeptical of its benefits. Now, with two youngins, she turns to her asana practice as a time to quiet her mind and focus internally. Erin has been a volunteer yoga instructor on Fort Bragg and worked at various studios in the Fayetteville community. In 2013, Erin founded Perfect Union Yoga in Raeford, NC and developed the studio to reflect her passion. Two years later, the community had well outgrown the location. It was then that Resound Yoga Studio was born.
Erin's classes remain light-hearted as she challenges students' strength and ability to center their minds. Erin is a certified Hot Vinyasa 200-hour RYT through Hot Asana University. She also holds a BA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design and is a published graphic designer and children's book illustrator.
My passion for sharing yoga multiplied ten-fold when I opened Perfect Union Yoga in 2013. Resound Yoga Studio has been outfitted for the students that PUY grew with. We now have 2 rooms, heated and unheated, to suit the different styles of classes we offer! Each instructor at RYS has a unique ability to encourage every person who walks through our doors to safely follow their individual needs throughout their practice. Yoga is not about fitting into a mold or proving anything based off your performance. To me, yoga is personal. It is about connecting to something deep within you; sometimes something you didn't even know you were looking for. When I practice, I am my strongest, most fluid self and I can focus without peripheral distractions, which is something I struggle to do in most situations. I hope everyone can experience this at least once in their lives and I want to welcome each yoga student to feel the freedom that we all deserve when they enter Resound. -Photo by Emily Hall
