Leah’s passion in life is helping others to feel connected to themselves and find joy in their health and wellness. She is currently a 200 RYT and will be graduating her 500-hour advanced teacher training with a focus on trauma-informed therapeutic yoga and meditation practices in July 2020. Leah believes that yoga is for everyone and enjoys leading both yin and yang style practices. From strong heated vinyasa, to deeply meditative and restorative practices, she enjoys teaching a diverse range of asana classes.
When you come to one of Leah’s classes, expect to have deeper roots of yoga woven into the theming of the class. Sometimes this is through storytelling and mantra, while other times it is incorporating mudras and exploring more focused pranayama. Each class is unique and led with authentic love. She enjoys facilitating an environment that supports curiosity and playfulness in her students’ practices.
Leah is iRest level 1 certified and plans to pursue her level 2 certification soon. She has a bachelor’s degree in healthy lifestyle coaching and will soon begin a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling program. Teachers that she has studied under and who has influenced her teaching include Leslie Kaminoff, Doug Keller, Gary Kraftsow, Jason Crandall, Joe Taft, and Shala Worsley.
