HOW TO PRACTICE ONLINE WITH US

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
-Download and set up a free ZOOM account -Sign up and pay for class on Mindbody like normal
-We send zoom links via your phone number and email on file 30 minutes prior to class
-Join “meeting” 5-10 minutes prior to class time and wait to be added to video - After joining, select "Call using Internet Audio"
-Only the instructor will have sound and video enabled -Be creative with props at home (belt, soup cans, pillows, blankets)
-Please be patient and embrace love and humor rather than the anxiety of the situation as we learn this process as a community 💗

Please understand and respect that people who are paid in Mindbody are not allowed to share their private access zoom link with anyone. We will be able to see everyone who has joined the stream. We will continue to incur all of our normal operational expenses and there will be additional ramifications to closing the studio, so your support during this time means more than ever.

This is an excellent time to start up your home practice, whether you were just a studio-goer before or if you had been dealing with anxieties about public classes. We’re hoping this turns into a beautiful way to stay supportive of each other during these unprecedented times.
Again, thank you all for your support and patience as we give this everything we’ve got!

» Where should you begin?!
If you're new to Yoga, we recommend taking Gentle Yoga, Yin, R&R, Restorative & Yoga Nidra. If you consider yourself a fast learner and already have an active lifestyle, Warm and Hot Mixed Level classes may be more your speed.
» You just want to stretch or are pregnant. What classes are best for you?
Yin, Gentle Yoga, R&R, Restorative & Pre/Postnatal Yoga. Please consult with a medical professional before practicing with injuries or during pregnancy and alert your instructor to your modification needs.
» You want a workout. What classes will help you reach your goals?
We recommend our Core Fusion, Warm Core, Flow classes and any of our heated classes for those who want to get their sweat on. However, if you are new to yoga, we still recommend you take a Gentle or Unheated class to familiarize yourself with the postures and proper alignment. Ultimately, it's up to you where you want to jump in...we do have padded flooring if you tumble :)

What Kind of Flooring is That?!

Picture
Do you like it?! We sure do! We yogis tend to like hanging out on our heads and hands a bit, so we've invested in flooring that is constructed to protect and comfort us!

Our premium flooring system has a non-slip surface, supports moisture evaporation, prevents bacterial growth and is more supportive of joints than wood or traditional floorings. The Tatami Zebra Flooring was designed specifically for yoga. It's made from recycled materials and is ECO-friendly, as it allows us to use less energy to heat the room.

Once you experience the difference in your practice on our flooring, your body will thank you for it!

Studio Notes

» Class size is limited, therefore, online sign up is recommended to ensure a spot.  New clients should plan to arrive 15 minutes before class time to get signed in and/or registered and settled.  Doors will be locked at the start of class to help ensure security of belongings and to start class on time.
» Please remove shoes, silence electronic devices and stow all belongings in the cubes available in the waiting room.  It is recommended you lock most of your belongings in your vehicle.
» No shoes or food is allowed in the practice rooms-children’s footwear included-no exceptions.  Please respect traditional yogic practices and keep the floors clean for our mats and bodies.
» Allow your body time to digest before practicing yoga.  A period of at least 2 hours from your last meal is recommended.
» The studio has $2 Premium Manduka Yoga Mat and $1 YogiToes Mat Towel rentals. Bolsters, blocks, towels and straps are available for complimentary use. (Mat Rentals are FREE with Unlimited Memberships!)

» Dress in comfortable attire that allows you to stretch without restriction and without tangling or getting in the way.  Nothing too tight or too loose and, please, no strong perfume or cologne.
» Always remember to listen to YOUR body and try your hardest not to compete with other’s abilities.  You do not need to be flexible or a certain shape or size to practice and enjoy yoga.  It is not a competition.  Check in with your limitations each day and use modifications when you need to.   Be humble in accepting props when your body asks for them.  Be proud when you acknowledge your limits and grow beyond them.  Always notify your teacher of any health conditions or injuries that may affect your practice, to include pregnancy.

» Plan to stay the entire duration of class.  Savasana, the final resting pose, is a period of time for meditation and should not be disturbed.
» Each class closes with a bow and the word “Namaste”.  Exchanging Namaste is a sign of honoring one another’s “light”.  The gesture and saying translate to, “I bow to the light within you” or "Thank you".

Namaste! : )
